Society Train
"All aboard the Society Train!"
A cry from the dark, "freedom", quickly, get inside.
Engine starting, train is moving
Chug, Chug, Chug. This is life’s greatest ride.
Sit in a carriage, by a window with a view.
Look outside - see them all out there,
Walking aimlessly to the melody of life
Without ambition, without creativity, without cause.
They stumble blindly through life’s many years,
Gray, linked closely to others, though vastly alone.
People, normal people - wandering, searching
With a single spark within, waiting to become a fire
Sparks from within form creativity,
They spark until they break free from mediocrity.
That person no longer is dull, grey and without cause
Rather, a person with fire, drive, ready to risk it all.
Then comes the wariness and betrayal,
From others envious, not able to free themselves.
Becoming like a pack of wolves, determined to break,
That fire which makes that person different from themselves.
On a dream, most risk normal life,
To break from the monotony, dullness and dark.
They catch the Society Train to take a risk
Against all other opposition, they make or break.
Society Train. Those who will make it are on it now,
Listening to the voice of the engine calling them.
Now is the time, break free, achieve your dreams.
They listen, and become truly themselves.
Individuals. People who can and will make life different,
From the inventor to the writer, achieving a status is not important.
Wealth is not important either.
It’s what they’ll make of life, and others lives that counts.
To stand up and be different,
Is as hard as life itself.
They may stumble and fall from the Society Train,
They make become the most acclaimed people in the world.
