It's January and the cold is here
The nights are long and the frost is near
And parts of me crave sunny skies
Swap winter lows for summer highs
The days are short, the weather bleak
Yet, the night's get shorter week by week
As the end of Winter signals Spring
We focus on the other thing

Days are short and nights are long
The sky is grey, and so's the rain
My spirit starts to ebb and wane

Whole world seems grey again
The wetter weather is such a pain

February comes, but it's not much better
If anything the world seems even wetter
