I get in from a bad day
I instantly go to play
All my mobile apps and games
So many aliases, so many names

Toward my tiny computer
I find my happy place
The instant gratification
Puts a smile upon my face

Then I check my social media
And the fun really begins
I'm in a never-ending doom scroll
And no-one ever wins

I'm doom scrolling my way through life
Through every crisis, pain and strife
There's always something to feed my brain
A serotonin-sucking toxic shame

Sucked into hours in front of TV
Algorithms rule my days
This never-ending soul-sucking haze
