That Sudden Foreboding Feeling

Life is endurance

Though sometimes we feel we can't cope.

Its having the ability to see it through to the bitter end,

Understanding what is behind it all;

Nothing.

Then to accept it as fate,

and to live our lives as best we can.

When there is no reason to live,

When an eclipse covers the sunshine

And everything becomes dark and worthless.

The whole world becomes unbearable.

Accept this feeling.

Let it wash over you as water,

Cleansing your spirit and mind.

Washing aside any sudden fear.

Into nothingness.

Become strong.

Push aside the doubt.

Believe if you must, in anything.

Even if that which you believe is

the darkness you most hate.

Open your arms to your fear.

Embrace it as you would a long lost friend.

That which was unbearable

Will become an aid to your survival.

Barely 20 and I feel this way now.

As I write this poem,

I reach out to all and say,

Understand this feeling, this emotion.

Life is precious; even if sometimes we don't think it really is.

And when you recover from the sensation,

And from the bitter cold resentment.

Live.
