Reflection

Reflections upon the water’s surface 
Touch me deeply in my pain 
Who is that girl who looks so sadly 
At her past again? 

Why does she refuse to let it go? 
The sadness within her heart 
Letting go is the way to heal 
Its the only way to truly start 

So when the past is finally snapped 
This girl will begin anew 
She’ll see the world with cleansed eyes 
With a totally different view
