Little Lost Lamb
Little lost lamb,
You've strayed from the flock.
You are bleating to the sky
No one can hear your piteous cries
No one except the wolf, that is
Who slowly stalks your fragile frame
Licking his lips
Succulent little lamb
Bleat some more, he wants to find you
Alone
Without your mother
He will gladly keep you company
In his lair, with his cubs
Whilst he tears you to shreds
And feeds you piece by piece to his own young
Little lost lamb,
You've seen him draw near
And the bleating has become fearful
You know what he will do
As he draws close to you
Your little heart pounding
Your little cries so pleading
Wolf doesn't care
He has his own hungry little mouths to feed
He will not feed yours too
And in a moment of pure horror
Little lost lamb realises
But realisation always comes too late
