Bullying
Violence, horror—just for kicks
Words affecting more than stones and sticks
Threat of being hurt mixed with primal fear
Too scared to cry out or shed a single tear
Sit at the back hoping that this is the day
When my superhero comes to sweep me far away
Floating in fantasy dreams, till the recess sounds
And the pack start to follow like hungry bloodhounds
Even a teacher smiled at them, condoning them secretly
As if to approve of their actions to me
Cowering inwardly, hoping it’s just a nightmare
Feeling naked and vulnerable, embarrassed and bare
The only way to survive is to feel nothing at all
Whilst the class tease and taunt, to make me feel small
Why me? I ask, do I really deserve this?
I fall deeper and deeper into my nightmare abyss
